Music
Aims:
At Harry Gosling we strive to creative a music curriculum which engages and inspires pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians. Through music we aim to increase pupil’s self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. We support the development of the children’s culture capital by exposing them to a range of musical genres, composers and provide the opportunity to see musical performance.
How Music is taught:
At Harry Gosling, we teach music through singing, composition, improvisation, basic music theory and the appreciation and study of different genres. The children also have the opportunity to learn the recorder, ukulele and have an introduction to the keyboard. Lessons are engaging, creative and interactive and children learn to perform with growing confidence. We follow the 'Model Music Curriculum.'
